yesterday was “first saturday” breakfast with my friends from weight watchers.  it was such a blast.  we got much more inappropriate than usual, and i loved every minute of it.  🙂

pat told me we should make the tea bag photo a tradition.  hahaha.

the “healthy breakfast” was so incredible: an egg white omelet with mushrooms & tomatoes, fresh fruit, grilled tomatoes, and coffee.  sweet nectar, if you will.

i felt so good afterward without the potatoes and toast…  i do love homefries.  but it felt more like a meal, and less like an event.

and i begged for this photo, so i had to include it.  thanks, fran!

after finishing my three cups of coffee, and potentially scaring off all diners within earshot:

this is maybe my favorite photo ever.

i watched dogtooth today.  more because i decided i had to make it through so i could talk about it with someone at work tomorrow.  to come down from this, i’m going to give before sunrise a try.  i think it’s much more perfect for my sunday night.

i also decided to keep in line with my “try to read 9 books at all times” tradition, and start in on the catcher in the rye before i finish eat, pray, love.  i don’t think i can even count it as a reread, since i was so young the first time i read it.  i’m excited to see how it effects me this time.

eats throughout the day were delicious and light.  i went out last night, and had one appetizer more than i thought i would (read: we shared a whole pizza).  it was a very calm, happy night, though.

i got around to the doughy smoothie i was craving from kath’s blog.  last night when i tried to make it after the gym, my parents were napping on the couch.  so i settled for a bowl of oatmeal instead.

1/3 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup soy milk (organic, plain, and no sugar added! it’s so good), tbsp of tj’s valencia roasted peanut butter, 1 whole frozen banana, vanilla extract, water to thin it out, and a pinch of guar & xanthan gum to thicken it up.  i’m complicated.  i know.

i decided to make it an oat filled day, and went for a small snack bowl during the movie.  i used 1/4 cup of oat bran, 3/4 cup water, splash of peppermint extract, 1/2 oz of 100% chocolate, and some stevia.

i might be about to round out my day with a third serving, because i’m dying to try the sugar-free pancake syrup my mom picked up for me.  it’s better than three candy bars.  hahaha.

the day also included a stupendous mango,

and an edamame burger & salad.

it’s time for tea and the rest of my double-feature!
